Chisel 3D Helps Set Record for World's Largest Cup of Coffee
Atlanta, GA, October 21, 2010 – Chisel 3D has been involved in many unique projects, but the piece they created for GourmetGiftBaskets.com was one for the record books. The client, who specializes in handmade gift baskets filled with award-winning gourmet foods for corporate, holiday and special occasion gifts, chose Chisel 3D to help in their attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest cup of coffee. Chisel 3D built an eight by eight-foot cup designed to hold 2,010 gallons (the equivalent of 32,160 cups) – more than double the previous record.
The record-setting attempt was made at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas on October 15. A Guinness World Record official was on hand as the fresh brewed coffee poured in, finally declaring the new record at 12:00 pm. The next day, the GourmetGiftBaskets.com team put the Chisel 3D cup to use once more, breaking the record for the world’s largest cup of iced coffee. “We wanted to break both records because we had this massive cup and thought we’d be crazy not to,” says Ryan Abood, CEO of GourmetGiftBaskets.com. “We had all the tools necessary and loved the challenge!”
