Chisel 3D Carves a Niche in Themed Environment Features
Atlanta, GA, April 2, 2008 – When Chisel 3D president Gary Bystrom tells his customers nothing’s carved in stone at his company, he means it. Chisel 3D’s props and features for themed environments are all made of lightweight, high-density foam, so items can be created or replicated in virtually any size, quickly and economically. As Gary likes to say, “If you can imagine it, we can produce it.”
Chisel 3D uses the latest 3D scanners and computer controlled sculpting equipment to ensure the finished product is exactly what the customer envisions. A team of computer technicians, sculptors and painters can dimensionalize drawings and photos, replicate 3D models and actual items, and concept and sculpt original pieces from scratch. Projects run the gamut, with recent examples including a four-foot brain for a children’s museum, an 11-foot household glove for a trade show and a dinosaur hand puppet re-created at 10 times its original size for Toy Fair.
“The applications for foam are almost unlimited,” says Gary. “It works just as well for advertising and one-time promotions as it does for permanent pieces such as architectural accents and even boardroom art.”
